If you enable the printing support in the Dave control panel you'll be able
to use non PostScript printers with Dave if they're shared on a Windows
network.

Why aren't they using WINS at that one client's location? If they are
using a WINS server and you plug it's IP address into Dave you'll be able
to access the entire network with no problems.
