If you know the Netbios (PC) name of the computers (whatever they show up
as in network neighborhood) you can find their IP addresses from another
PC. Go to a DOS prompt and type "NBTSAT ?" (or NBTSTAT help, or something
similar, I forget exactly which, in fact, if you type "NBTSTAT" alone
you'll get the help file). There is a flag to get the IP address of a
client providing the netbios name (-N or something, I don't have a PC
handy just now). Yo do it the other way around (the netbios name
providing the IP address, use NBTSTAT -A <netbios name>).

Very handy. I know it works in NT, and I'm pretty sure it does in 95/98
as well.

good luck
