[WinMac] QT3: Reappearing QT Pro alias/shortcut

     Is there a way to prevent the "Get QuickTime Pro" alias/shortcut from
reappearing after each use of QuickTime 3 in MacOS/Win9x?

     In Windows95, I looked in the registry and at QTW.INI and neither made
any mention of a setting regarding this annoying habit. Locking down the
desktop completely might do the trick, but I don't want to do that.

     Nothing on the Apple support pages I searched mentioned this, either.

     I apologize if this is slightly off-topic.
