We are having the same problem here as well with MS Proxy 2.0. I'm told that
Mac OS 8.6 will be coming out soon that will have better support for SOCKS.
I'm going to wait if 8.6 will solve any problems. I'm in a situation where
if it doesn't work on the Mac then it's percieved as a Mac problem not a
problem with the proxy server.

I would like to install WebStar on a Mac and have the Mac clients go through
that but the department that handles this will probably fear a different
platform other than total Microsoft.
